Alex Shvartsman is a science fiction writer based in Brooklyn. His piece "Icarus Falls" appears in our anthology, AFTERMATH: Explorations of Loss & Grief.
Morey has a little bit of a problem: he sees dead people. Dead family members, specifically. But are they there to help him remember good memories, or to drive him insane?
Alex DiFrancesco is a writer whose work has appeared in The Washington Post, Tin House Magazine, The Heart Podcast and others. Their contribution to AFTERMATH is called "Horace Wilbur's Paintbrushes."
On April 26, 2018, our debut title, AFTERMATH: Explorations of Loss & Grief launched to a packed house at Greenlight Bookstore. It was a wonderful evening, with the four contributors—Joaquin Fernandez, María José Giménez, Alison McBain, and Stacya Shepard Silverman—reading their pieces from the book. The audience was present and engaged, and the readings were followed by a wine reception, conversation, and signings by the authors.
